Mo IBRAHIM, a business executive is the founder of charitable organization, Mo Ibrahim foundation. He has lunched Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership that will present Africa's political leaders, a $5-million prize and a $200,000 stipend for life. The award will go to African heads of state who deliver security, health, education and economic development to their constituents, and who democratically transfer power to their successor.
“The Mo Ibrahim Foundation aims to stimulate public debate on good governance while challenging the continent's leaders to set the global benchmark on this issue. This is an African initiative celebrating the successes of new African leadership.”
